The corridors of St. Xavier's College were usually chaotic on the first day of the final year. Students were laughing, catching up after the summer break, and making a mess. But inside Lecture Hall 4, the atmosphere suddenly shifted.

โ€‹Clack. Clack. Clack.

โ€‹The sharp, rhythmic sound of pointed heels echoed from the doorway.

โ€‹A woman walked in, holding a steaming mug of black coffee. She was dressed in a crisp, sharp black pinstripe blazer with her hair pinned back in a neat, professional bun. Her face carried no smile-only a calm, powerful aura that demanded immediate authority.

โ€‹She walked straight to the podium, picked up a piece of chalk, and wrote her name on the blackboard in bold letters: PROFESSOR AAROHI MEHRA.

โ€‹Turning around, her sharp brown eyes scanned the entire classroom. The chattering students instantly went silent. Nobody dared to make a sound.

โ€‹"Good morning, class," Aarohi said, her voice smooth but ice-cold. "This is your final year of Psychology. If you think this semester is going to be an easy ride, you are highly mistaken. My lectures require focus. And more than focus, they require discipline."

โ€‹She placed her coffee mug on the table and leaned forward slightly, looking at the back benches.

โ€‹"I have exactly three rules in my classroom," Aarohi continued, her tone narrowing. "No mobile phones, no back-answering, and absolutely no latecomers. If you are even a minute late, your attendance for the entire semester will be zero. Am I clear?"

โ€‹The students nodded in unison, completely intimidated by her presence.

โ€‹But just as the silence settled into the room, the heavy wooden door of the lecture hall was pushed open with a loud, careless creak.

โ€‹Everyone held their breath and turned around.

โ€‹Standing at the door was a guy with messy dark hair, a black leather jacket slung over one shoulder, and a basketball spinning effortlessly on his index finger. His lips were curved into a playful, confident smirk. He didn't look scared at all. He looked like he owned the place.

โ€‹It was Arjun Malhotra.

โ€‹Arjun casually started walking inside, completely ignoring the tension in the air.

โ€‹"Stop right there," Aarohi's voice cut through the room like a sharp knife.

โ€‹Arjun stopped, catching the basketball in his hands. He looked at her, his eyes locking onto hers with an amused glint.

โ€‹"Ji, Professor?" Arjun asked, his voice dripping with smooth sarcasm.

(Yes, Professor?)

โ€‹Aarohi tapped her watch. "You are exactly four minutes late, Mr...?"

โ€‹"Malhotra. Arjun Malhotra, Professor," he replied, taking a step closer toward the podium.

(Malhotra. Arjun Malhotra, Professor.)

โ€‹"Mr. Malhotra, discipline is everything in my class. You just broke my rule on day one," Aarohi said, her eyes flashing with anger, though her posture remained completely rigid. "Bahar jaiye."

(Mr. Malhotra, discipline is everything in my class. You just broke my rule on day one. Get out.)

โ€‹Arjun didn't move. Instead, his smirk widened as he looked straight into her guarded eyes, completely unfazed by her strictness.

โ€‹"Aap apna har ek rule mazboot banakar rakhiye, Professor Aarohi... Kyunki unhe todne ka maza tabhi aayega, jab unhe banaya aapne ho."

โ€‹(Keep every single rule of yours strong, Professor Aarohi... Because breaking them will only be fun when they are built by you.)

โ€‹The entire class gasped. Nobody had ever dared to talk to a professor like this, let alone on the very first day.

โ€‹Aarohi's grip tightened around her coffee mug. Her heart did a strange, unfamiliar flutter-partly out of pure anger, and partly out of shock. For the first time in years, someone had looked past her professional walls so easily.

โ€‹"Get out of my class, Mr. Malhotra. Now," she repeated, her voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.

(Get out of my class, Mr. Malhotra. Now.)

โ€‹Arjun took a deep breath, gave her one final, intense gaze from head to toe, and nodded playfully.

โ€‹"As you wish, Professor," Arjun murmured softly, turning around to leave. "Par is semester mein, aap mujhe class se bahar nikal sakti hain... mere khayalon se nahi."

(As you wish, Professor. But this semester, you can kick me out of your class... not your thoughts.)

โ€‹He walked out, leaving the classroom door slightly open. Aarohi stood behind the podium, her breathing slightly uneven as she stared at the empty doorway.

โ€‹The battle between the strict professor and the rebellious student had officially begun.
